Dr. Al-Sammak served as theSecretary-General of Lebanon’s National Committee for Christian-MuslimDialogue, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Spiritual Summit (a meeting of inter-religiousdialogue among different branches of Islam), and is a frequent writer for newsoutlets, author and co-author of numerous books including, but not limited to,Interfaith Dialogue: Cross-Cultural Views. He is a signatory on “The AmmanMessage,” an affirmation of unity and equality among Muslim branches and “ACommon World between Us and You,” a general letter to Christian leaders callingfor increased dialogue and acceptance between faiths. He has spoken at numeroussignificant events, such as a synod of significant Catholic clergy, includingPope Benedict XVI and the 2012 Danish-Arab Dialogue Conference.
