Dr. Hatim bin Arif Al-Awni is a prominent Saudi Islamic scholar and a Hanbali conservative, renowned for his contributions to hadith studies and his advocacy for a reformist approach within the Salafi trend. He obtained his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Sharia from Umm al-Qura University, where he later worked and retired as a professor of graduate studies and a Professor in Islamic Studies.
